Badminton player Kirsty Gilmour believes that being a part of Team GB for a third Olympic Games is “just as shiny” as being chosen for the first time. The 30-year-old, who competed for Great Britain in Rio in 2016 and Tokyo three years prior, has been confirmed as the country’s lone singles representative for the summer Olympics in Paris. Men’s doubles players Sean Vendy and Ben Lane will be joining the Scot in the group. “Three-time Olympian has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it,” commented Gilmour. “It was extremely special, the first one in Rio. Tokyo then occurred under such peculiar circumstances. This third one seems incredibly deserved. “It never stops feeling cool – and it never gets old.”
