Six boxers have been selected by Team GB to compete for Great Britain in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Extremely heavyweight Pat Brown, middleweight Lewis Richardson, heavyweight Orie, and light-middleweight Lewis Richardson Among them are bantamweight Charley Davison, welterweight Rosie Eccles, and welterweight Chantelle Reid. Richardson, a fighter from Colchester, qualified last out of the group, having only confirmed his spot in Thailand last week. The lone fighter on the team with prior Olympic experience is 30-year-old Davison. Davison switched weight classes for Paris, going from flyweight to bantamweight, after being eliminated in the Tokyo quarterfinals three years prior. “Qualifying for a second time means a little bit more to me,” she stated. “I am a much more experienced boxer now and I know what to expect.”
